You are not wrong.

Just that we did not have to specify a 443 Service and use balance traffic to say use only one GW with Zentyal 2.0.4.  It just worked, out of the box. Like you said Zentyal does.

I turned the transparent proxy back on, and it seemed to have broken something. Could not connect to any website after re-enabling transparent squid

I think we are going to fall back to Zentyal 2.0.4 - without being able to use squid - we really need it. More than the bandwidth monitor (the reason we upgraded).

Interesting stuff going on here:
The firewall was allowing us to get through to the sites we were at one time experiencing trouble communicating with. We have not made any changes to the configuration whatsoever.

We did have Wed. July 4th off from work as we celebrated America's  Independence from England for the past 236 years.

Today we are back to connectivity problems, many https sites will time out in Chrome, or continue to show connecting in Firefox.
I verified the Balance  Traffic settings were in place, and then I changed the gateway HTTPS is forced out, well that didn't fix it this time.

We are back to "what the heck is going on"

Balance Traffic not working..

We have HTTPS port 443 to balance on 1 of the 4 gateways we have for Internet connection.

I set up an ip page at https://www.neurorelief.com/ip/    and here I can get all four of our Internet IP Addresses: what gives?

Anyone out there seeing the Balance Traffic not balanced?

please help!

more nonsense

I disabled 3 of the 4 gateways. All traffic has no choice but the one.

When looking at Network > Gateways > Gateways and Proxy - the Default check mark does not dynamically change as I had noticed in version 2.0.4

The default is still showing one of the disabled gateways..

During this time, I maintained one IP address to all the sites I had visited, good! But.... Not able to get to https://www.usps.com OR even sign in to yahoo or amazon via firefox
