It would be nice to have scanner integration for ebox with sane so you can access a scanner via xsane over the network or similar.

The use in this is for scanning documents throughout the network. Stuff you have to attach to emails, faxes or just to have it stored on a harddrive without the need to have a scanner on the clients.

Its quite easy to do it manually but for the sake of comfy it would also be nice to have on ebox (just like printers).

I confirm. I installed saned on my previous Zentyal server.
Not tried with 2.2 neither 3.0 but I don't see why it may not work.
