Zentyal as a wifi hotspot
« on: March 17, 2011, 10:14:49 pm »
Is there a way to use Zentyal as a wifi hotspot ?

EG. if a client with his laptop connects to my Access Point, and starts browsing. he will first get a page to enter a time code.

If Zentyal cant do this is there any open source software out there that can.

Thanks
Madhacker

It is called captive portal, unfortunately Zentyal doesn't have one yet (if an admin can confirm that there is still plan to make one).

You can use Pfsense (bsd) or Zeroshell (linux).

Hello madhacker,

I coded one few years ago.  I'll probably integrate it to Zentyal when I'll have the time for it.

But up to now, there is no ETA on this one.

Best,

Marcus
